Obituary of Robert McGregor

Retired OPP Cpl. Robert (Bob) McGregor, 87, passed away November 6, 2023 at Kingsway Lodge, St. Marys, with family at his side.

Born in Cumberland, Ontario, son of the late Gary and Helen McGregor. Survived by his loving wife Georgina, daughters Dawn McGregor, Bonnie McArthur (Lee), Nancy Clark (Mark), Terry Hymers (Anthony); step-daughters Sheila Standen (Bob), Marg Jordan (Ernie), Mary Ridley, Sherri Hull; step-son Tom Hunking, son-in-law Gary Milani, brother Gord McGregor (Gilda), and 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by daughter Kim Milani, son Rob Roy McGregor and step-son Ron Hunking, sister Flo Peel (Milt), brother James and Joan McGregor.

Bob was an OPP officer for 30 years serving at Lindsay, Matheson, Sebringville and Campbellford. He was a longtime member of the St. Marys Lions Club and St. James Masonic Lodge #73 F&AM.

Services will take place Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the ST. MARYS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (147 Widder St. E., St. Marys), with a Masonic Service at 12:45 p.m., public visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. with the Memorial Service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Marc Fraser officiating.
