Although we never had the pleasure of meeting Catherine, we do know Jane Anne and Barry's family. To witness the beauty of Jane Anne's loving heart truly bespeaks of the Godly heritage in which she was raised. Most assuredly, Jane Anne was blessed and chosen by God to have had such a precious mother.
Again, we did not ever meet this dear saint on this earth, but we are beyond grateful for her impact upon the Henderson family. We look forward to meeting both Mr. and Mrs. Durley one day in Heaven and thanking them for their faithful care of Jane Anne.
With Love and Prayers, John and Lynn Dunham

My heart goes out to the Durley Family. My parents, Howard & Irene Felkar were neighbours on Elgin Street for many years. John & Cathy were always up for a chat or a friendly wave.
I attended Bible Class often and felt the kindness of Mrs. Durley. She always had a sweet smile and gentle way.
As I had children they were always welcome to sit on the lovely swing in their back yard. A plate of cookies would appear and a caring conversation. Irene & Cathy were supportive of each other as they entered widowhood. Irene would always mention what Mrs Durley was up to. Gave me comfort. Mrs Durley was a big help with Irene. I am sure Irene and Cathy are having tea in heaven!

To Dave, Joy and all of Catherine's family and friends:
Catherine was a lovely lady. I stopped to talk with her during her many walks around the community. She will be sadly missed in St. Marys. May your loving memories of Catherine comfort you during this difficult time!

To Cathy’s dear family..
Cathy Cowin as my sister and I remember her was such a cheerful presence in our Sunday School class at Egerton Street in London. She was aunt Elsie’s co teacher and we loved both of them.
When she married John she and he continued to be a compassionate, warm couple.
Cathy’s sense of humour was contagious and she gave us some wonderful memories.
We are so sorry for your loss..

Dear David, Joy, Jane Anne, Jennifer, Mark and families
It was a great honour to have known both your parents and how lucky I was to be your next door neighbour! We shared many happy times over the years and I think back on those times with fondness. Your house was a house of great love and respect for each other and the greater community. Your mom had an amazing personality, she was such a thoughtful and fun person. Our families supported each other through happy times and sad times. Cathy brought muffins to my house after my surgery in 2011 and I thought that was such a lovely thing for her to do. I just loved the times I "bumped" into her at the post office, or when she was out biking or when I dropped in for a quick hello. She loved you all unconditionally and was so very proud of you. I know you will miss her terribly but you do have some awesome memories to sustain you. My Aunt Elsie also sends her condolences.
Much love,
Jacqueline and Brian xxx

Dear David, Joy Jane Ann, Jennifer and Mark and families. My mom and I were so sad to hear of Cathy's passing. I have many fond memories of playing at your house as a kid. Running inside, outside and all over the place at your house. We played many games and spent hours on your swing-set. You have been our neighbors for more than 50 years and we will truly miss seeing Cathy on our street. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I hope Cathy is having a long awaited dance with John upstairs! Love Carol McKnight and Jennie xo

What a wonderful person. I remember as a kid going to their house which was just up the street from mine for a children’s meeting. They were great examples of Christ to all who meet them and I am sure they are part of my salvation story and some day I will be able to thank them personally.

Deepest condolences to Cathy’s complete family circle. John and Cathy raised a beautiful family. At our 2005 High School Reunion when I had John give his testimony/life story , with tears in his eyes and his voice quivering he expressed his love and appreciation for his beautiful bride Cathy and how God was so good to him. It still brings tears to my eyes as well. All God’s richest blessings on you all. Nelda Mossip-Oliver.

Cathy and John were such “nice” neighbours to have when we raised our kids on Elgin Street-they went to Bible School at the Durleys. Whenever you met Cathy, there was always a pleasant and kind greeting!

What a lovely tribute for a beautiful soul! The next door neighbors of Howard and Irene Felkar and their clan, Cathy and John were the best neighbors you could ever have. I remember Mom and Dad shipping us to the Durleys once a week for Bible Club in their basement, hearing the "Felt Board" stories of Jesus and singing songs like, "Bible Club, Bible Club, I love my Bible Club. The truth is heard from God own word, for I love my Bible Club"! 60 years later and I still remember it!!! Heaven has gained a treasure of a Saint and I am a Christian as a result of the Durley's many prayers. You will be missed Mrs Durley xooox

Dear, sweet Mama Durls. There was truly no one like you. You emulated joy wherever you went. You modeled for all that growing older didn’t mean you had to be serious, and you could absolutely maintain an element of silliness. I can still hear you scolding my dad and punching him in the arm when you would see him. You have left such a legacy and your life is embedded in so many others. We rejoice that you are not only with Jesus, but also reunited with your beloved John. Thank you for making such a beautiful difference in the lives of those who were blessed to know you. Sending love and prayers for comfort to your incredible children and grandchildren. What a blessing you have been ❤️❤️
