Dear Marlene, Scott and Julia, all my condolences. I am so sorry to hear about Maxine's passing, Marlene. I have so many memories of her, it's hard to keep them all straight. I remember so much your birthday parties, where she always did such a great job of putting together, to the various 4-H clubs which she lead, to our Friday night hang-outs at your place, sitting with your mom and dad and watching TV or chatting. The various family and community get-togethers, or visiting at the house in town with her and Aunt Irene. She had such a great laugh and it was always great just to get together and talk. I can't imagine what this is like for you right now, but know that I am thinking of you and all the great times with your mom. Marilee

Marlene, Scott and Julia: Maxine was a wonderful neighbor, when I grew up on the Ratcliffe farm. She had a lovely sense of humor and was very good to my mother Jean, who had apparently taught her at school. Marlene, I was sorry to hear that your mother died. I remember staying with you for 1 week in the 4th grade and we had lots of fun. Your mother was a lovely person and always kind to me.
