Jack was a man of many attributes, which thankfully for a lot of people, he was always willing to lend his knowledge and instill that upon anyone who asked, often out in the shop. There was always a little smirk on his face, no matter how inane he found the question or situation. Chances are he is not Heaven yet! We are pretty sure he is standing on top of a ladder at ST. PETER'S GATE welding a gusset on the top hinge to stop it from drooping. Only then will he be satisfied that things are the way they should be. It was a true pleasure and an honour to know Jack. I remember Jack helping me fix my bikes, mini-bike, teaching me how things work and how to fix them, instilling his knowledge and wisdom on us all, incessantly teasing every kid in the village, yelling at me to stop something that really was dangerous and helping his friends and neighbours when we were at a low or the snow was at a high. All these lessons and actions continue to make me a better person. Thank you Jack.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Jack. I always had fond memories of him. Remember while the Lakeside gang would ride our bikes around the block hundreds of times, that he would always pop his head out of his shop and have some comment, joke or dare for us. Many times he would put the village kids to work planting the enormous garden, only to allow us afterwards to ride the mini bikes around. He will be sadly missed. Sherry Greason
