John “Jack” William Pickering passed away peacefully at his home in Lakeside with his family at his side on April 25, 2017, one month from his 81st birthday.Husband of Betty (Miller) in their 53rd year of marriage. Father of Michael and Shelly, Jeffrey and Christine, Lori and Michael McKone and Suzanne and Mathew Lindner. Grandfather of Jonathan, Cara, Brooke and Brett, Lydia, Brianna, Shaelyn, Alexandria, Kaileigh, and Cameron. Great-grandfather of Lucas. Brother of Jim (Marilyn, deceased), Joe (Chris), George (Jean, deceased), Leonard (June), Brian (Barb), Lloyd (Joanne), David (Jean) and brother-in-law of Hildegard Turvey and Isabel Miller. Predeceased by his parents Alex and Myrtle Pickering and siblings Jean (Jack Noon), Joan, and Ronald. Cremation has taken place.Family and friends are invited to the St. Marys Golf & Country Club, 769 Queen St E, St. Marys, on Saturday, April 29, 2017 for visiting from 11 a.m. until the time of theMemorial Service at noon.
