Obituary of Victor R. Hearn

Victor passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on April 14, 2021 after celebrating his 91st birthday on April 2nd. He has rejoined his wife Marie after missing her since her passing in 2019.He was the proud father of Stephen Hearn (Pat), Patricia Webb, Nancy Donati (Tom) and Susan Roeterink (Dave).Loved by his grandchildren Alex (Melinda), Erin (Dan), David (Samantha), Katie (Nick), Adam (Amanda), Rebecca (Chris), Mike (Jordyn), Nick (Sara), Christina (Carmine), Stacey and four great grandchildren. Survived by sister Roberta Dundas, brother Doug Hearn (Sharon), sisters-in-law Myrland Clark (Robert) and Rosemary Cutting (John).   Victor was born in Downie Township and came from a large family of 9 children. His working adventures included 2 trips to western Canada, working at Good Year Tire in London, delivering milk for his brother Kelly at Hearn’s dairy and working at Ashton Tire. In 1959, he started as an Esso Sales Agent for St. Marys and area and continued in this role for over 30 years. He was very community minded and was a V.W. Bro of St. James Lodge 73 and a member of multiple concordant bodies including the Mocha Temple Shriners and ROJ. He was also a member of the St. Marys Legion since 1955.  Dad’s smile, joking nature, and enjoyment of spending time with others will be remembered by many. A Memorial Service will be held at the St. Marys United Church, 85 Church St. S. St. Marys, on August 7, 2021 at 10:30 am. Those wishing to attend, please RSVP.
