Whether it was playing ball, fishing or a game of cards, Gary loved to have fun. His playful sense of humour was infectious. You couldn't help but have a good time when Gary and Jane were around. He once told me that as long as his kids and grandkids wanted him to go on a trip...he'd be there. His family meant everything to him. The good times were many. We know this is a very difficult time for all in the extended Parkinson family. We first met Garry and Jane with their family while camping at Klondike Park in 1973. Garry will be always remembered as a kind, caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Aunt Jane, Randy, Bev, Brain, Jan, Lisa, Tony and families. I was very sorry to hear of uncle Garrys passing. He was a great guy with a big laugh and kind heart. I remember he showed up to our house once when I was very little on my Birthday and he had brought me this card that had little slots for quarters in it and I remember counting it all and jumping on my bike right away to run off to the store likely for junk food! When Dad first got sick he without a second thought offered to give him a kidney. When you had poker nights I am sure he threw half his loot under the table for "finders keepers" for me and my friend. I hope him and dad are teeing up a ball somewhere having a beer and looking down knowing their time on this earth mattered and they live on through the hearts of those of us left behind. Jane and Family ,my name is John Klassen,I live in Morden Manitoba ,I got to know Garry when he was working for Allied Farm Equipment. I was a truck driver for Farm King for 28 years . Garry and myself spent many days together setting up shows ,I have many fond memories of this wonderful warehouse guy ,it saddens me to hear of his passing.
