Obituary of Garry Raymond Parkinson

Garry Raymond Parkinson passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on January 23, 2017 at the age of 75.Best friend and beloved husband, for 57 years, of Jane (French). Father of Randy and Bev, Brian and Jan, and Lisa and Tony. Proud grandfather of Keri and Ryan, Scott and Jessica, Sam and Cait, Brett and Meghan, Tori and Jason, Abbey and Chace, and Travis. Great-grandpa of Orrin and Laura. Brother-in-law of Bill Heather and Karen, Earl and Barbara French, Wayne Hern and Dorothy, and Joe and Marlene French. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.Predeceased by parents Ray and Edythe, step-father Spence Read, parents-in-law William and Mary French, step-father-in-law Ray Ruston, sister Donna Heather, brother Wayne and wife Lynda Parkinson and sister-in-law Laura Hern. Garry will be dearly missed by his many friends.Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to the ST. MARYS UNITED CHURCH, 85 Church St. S. St. Marys, on Monday, January 30, 2017 for visiting from 11 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. Private family interment in St. Marys Cemetery.
