Dear Terri and family,
I was so very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Please know that I am thinking of you and sending condolences to you and your family at this difficult time. It is never easy to lose a parent, regardless of our age or their age. Your Mom sounds like she was an amazing woman and I'm sure you will miss her very much. I sent you an email at your former work place, so I hope that account is still active so that you can read it at your leisure. Take care - sending you a virtual hug.

Norma was an inspirational teacher and grades seven and eight were an enjoyable time with the subjects she taught. She was always thoughtful and upbeat, in the classroom or years later for eye exams. My sympathy to Terri and the whole family.

Dear Terri and your whole family,
Your mom was a star teacher. I was grateful to be assigned to her class. And then I got to know her daughter - you. I have wonderful memories of being in your home. Both of your parents made us all feel welcome. (It was interesting that I ended up having the same last name when I married Brent.) Then, while my mom was living at Kingsway, I got to see your parents there.
Brent and I send our heartfelt sympathy to you all.

Dear Terri and Family, It is with deep sadness but some relief to know that Aunt Norma has passed. So many wonderful times at the farm come flooding back to me now. Those incredible lunches in the dining room with creole spaghetti and the incomparable cheesecake - a Norma specialty we still emulate in our family today. Some tunes at the piano with your Dad's accompaniment, and Norma's amazing prowess in the kitchen. Your Mom was such an inspiration to me, Terri, a professional teacher and incredibly hard worker. I guess I could say I was forwarned ;-) I know that my own journey into teaching was much aided by having Aunt Norma exemplary model to look up to. Norm's partnership with your Dad was something to behold as well. Real, and sparky, with genuine feelings of deep love for each other always right there. They were so proud of you, Terri. And rightly so. I miss those days, but am grateful for them in memory. Thank you for sharing the wonderful array of photos. Chris and I enjoyed visiting both Norma and Gerry on many occasions. What a pair!!
Much love, Brenda Beatty and Chris Brew

Terri & Family, Joe & I have so many wonderful memories of your Mom. Your family were wonderful customers of Joe's his many years in business. Your Mom & Dad, kept us all entertained at the insurance office in St. Marys every time they came in. Great friends of my parents over the years too. Once Joe's Dad, Claude moved into Kingsway Lodge & then my Mom, Adelle moved there too, it was nice to see Norma every time we visited, Terri too {usually in the elevator}. It was nice to catch up with you Terri. Your Mom did not have an easy time these last few years with Huntington's. Norma was such a lovely, beautiful woman, full of life. We had the pleasure of chatting with Norma & Gerry at Mom & Dad's last big anniversary. Memories are the best. Take care.

To all of Norma’s family: our deepest condolences at the passing of Norma. I was just asking a family member last week how she was doing. I have amazing memories of her as my grade 8 teacher. I was not a model student, but I must admit she was kind and patient and I always thought she was such a beautiful lady. I later got to know her better as an adult myself as a Kirkton community member, and she never forgot me as a grade 8 student, took interest in my children and my life as I grew up. RIP Norma.

I have known Norma for my whole life. She taught me for 3 years at Kirkton school. I have missed stopping in to visit her for the last 2 years-and often seeing you Terri. I witnessed Ducks love and devotion to Norma for many years-always bringing her chocolate. It was obvious the pride they had for Terri and her family. Cathy and Rob Taylor

Dear Terri and family
We have lovely memories of both your mom and dad, having lived 'down the road' from them for many years. It was always a pleasure to come across Norma or 'Duck' out in the yard and to stop for a visit. Most often it would be your dad, who would then insist that we go to the door to say 'HI' to Norma too! They were truly a team Terri and I think of them very fondly. Kindest regards at this sad time as you mourn the loss of your mom (and Grandma).
