I have come to this page several times over the last few days since Moira left us, and turned away unable to say what I longed to say. After the the memorial service yesterday I felt again the inadequacy of words to describe what I was feeling and the reality of the great woman we came together to honour. There are many memories from over 30 years. Those memories may dimly speak to what my mind may know but they do not begin to speak to the message my heart and soul want to share. What I know is that a spiritual giant has left us and words can not begin to speak to that reality. How blessed she was to have recognized Baha'u'llah in the infancy of His revelation. And how blessed we all are to have shared some time with her. We pray for her as she prays for us. with love, Rae Smith

On behalf of Alison Smith, Larry Gaudet and our two sons, Jackson and Theodore — we had an opportunity to visit with Moira in her final weeks and it reminded us what a generous and empathetic person she was, and so alert and positive even as her illness began to ravage her. We have wonderful memories of her going back many years. Her passing we’re sure has affected many people whose lives she affected for the better.
