Dear Donna & Family,
I am saddened to hear of your painful loss of Jim. He was a wonderful friend and mentor. I will cherish the fond memories I have from the many International Breakfasts & District Conventions I was fortunate to attend and thankful for Jim's great sense of humour and camaraderie. He was a fine & gentle character. May he rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to Donna and family.
We have many fond memories of Jim! Jim was a great organizer…from Wonk’s pickled eggs to the GBAC!
The GBAC golf tournaments were always memorable. The annual winter ones down to the Gulf Islands to the annual summer ones at Oakwood Inn. The hunting trips were always great!!! As well, the community’s always benefitted from the charity tournaments. We will miss you, Barbara, Douglas Shephard and family.

When Jim attended Dental School at the University of Toronto, he resided at the home of our mother.
We have memories of Jim and Margaret, driving to Thunder Bay in their motorhome to spend time with our family at our cottage
at Cedar Bay, on Lake Superior.
We have fond memories of Jim and his family, and we extend our condolenses to his family.

Sending my sincerest sympathy to the family of Jim Loucks. People pass through our lives for a reason. Dr Jim started out as my family dentist but later in life he also became a friend of my late husband and mine. He was a true St Marys Lion and loved his club and all that it stood for. I know for certain that he was greeted in heaven with his drink of choice and lots of laughter will be shared amongst them all. Sending hugs to Donna as well. Hold your many memories close. Thank you for sharing the beautiful tribute of pictures for us all to see the great life he lived. With much respect. Linda.

Dear Jim, Joe, Geoff, Doug and families: Your dad was a big part of my life. Your parents were great friends of my Mom and Dad, which is how Matt and I got to meet your family. 50+ years later and I have SO many memories and laughs. Jim Sr. was always tolerant to our activities and 'took everything in stride.'
While playing baseball in the early 70's, I took a wild pitch to my jaw. It shattered the top, back molar. Your dad replaced it with a gold crown. I still have it and a part of his work lives with me to this day. He was an imposing man back then, but as we grew up I knew him to be a gentle giant who loved life!
My sincerest condolences! Take care.
The picture was taken in '80 or '81, I believe.

Let’s not forget another worthy citizen who served his community as a leader and volunteer.
Most people look at their smart phones these days, claiming to be too busy.
Jim set the pace by spreading his time from family, friends, business to being involved in all aspects of Town life.
My contact with Jim, other than hands in my mouth as a child, was upon my return from university as a member of Planning Board.
Jim was Chair before handing the reigns over to a me, a twenty-something-year-old and youngest ever Chair.
His leadership developing a new Official Plan, and the first zoning by-laws provided great document, and further,
a confident direction for the Town: Keeping St. Marys a Town worth living in.
Thanks Jim.
I will never forget Jim’s lesson and example as an excellent Chair of a group.
