I had the pleasure of growing up in the house beside Larry and Pat. Since their kids were roughly the same age as me, the Hossacks were like a second set of parents, Later in my youth, Larry and Pat were my teachers at North Ward School. Later as I became an adult Larry was an opponent in the men's slow pitch league.
Throughout I could always count on Larry for wise advice and guidance.
He will live on in my memories.

I worked with Larry at Arthur Meighen School from 1991 to '94. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was an incredibly patient and hardworking coach who always put "love of the game" and "having fun" ahead of "winning". We need more people like Larry on this earth, not less. God bless you Larry. Dear Pat, Kathy, Reta, Ray, Scott and Families,
Pat and I were saddened and sorry to hear of Larry's passing.
Larry was a wonderful friend, colleague, teacher, husband, father and grandfather. He was a super teacher who developed and cherished the special connections that he made with all of his students. Larry was always the first to take on additional school responsibilities that benefited the Plover Mills and North Ward / Arthur Meighen students. He loved his hometown, made many contributions to community events, teams and represented the true spirit of the town of St. Mary's.
We will all cherish our many fond memories of Larry!
