Obituary of Craig Alexander MacDonald

Craig Alexander MacDonald passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Stratford General Hospital on Sunday March 29, 2020 in his 65th year.Beloved husband and soul mate of Shelley (nee Borland), cherished and adored father of Lauren and Derek (Olivia). Predeceased by his father Keith MacDonald, survived by his mother Shirley (nee Ward) and brother Kevin (Karen) of Belmont. Also survived by Shelley’s parents Joan and Ed Borland, Brother-in-laws Scott Borland and Sean (Cynthia). Loved Uncle to Taylor (Chad), Chris, Scott (Chantel), Mackenzie (Can), Madison, Lauren (Lloyd) and Michelle. Also survived by 6 great nieces and nephews.Craig was the proud owner of Stonetown Foodland for 27 years. He was very proud and supportive of his staff and community, and over the years was a great mentor to many young people. Craig was an avid hockey fan and Maple Leafs supporter and thoroughly enjoyed travelling. He was a past member of the Kinsmen Club of St. Marys and the St. Marys Lincolns executive.A private family service will be held and a public service will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, please consider giving a memorial donation to Diabetes Canada or the St. Marys Healthcare Foundation.
