Obituary of Carol Anne McArthur

Peacefully, surrounded by her children, Carol Anne (Hogg) McArthur, passed away on December 9, 2022 at Stratford General Hospital. Carol is survived by her sons, Cory (Renee) and Mark (Erin) and her 8 grandchildren: Magdalene, Chloe, Maryn, Henry, Benjamin, Jack, Everett and Annie. Also survived and loved by her siblings, Jane (Jacques), Marlene (Dave), and Rick as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Predeceased by her loving husband of 39 years, Kim, as well as her parents Lorne and Fern Hogg (Nelson). 

Carol was born and raised in St. Marys and loved her town. She had just celebrated her 66th birthday, and did it doing what she loved best - spending time with her boys. 

She loved scrapbooking, cheering on the Montreal Canadiens, spoiling her 8 grandchildren, and spending time up at the trailer. Some of Carol’s  favourite times of the year were Christmas and the annual Nelson Family Reunion, her presence will be greatly missed in years to come. 

Cremation has taken place.

Family and friends are invited to the ST. MARYS UNITED CHURCH, 85 Church St. S. St. Marys, on January 6, 2023 for visiting from noon until the time of the Memorial Service at 2 pm. Interment to follow in St. Marys Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Marys Friendship Centre as well as the St. Marys Minor Hockey Association.
