Today I went for a walk down by the river and I noticed someone wasn’t there. When I got to the blue picnic table I stood and remembered your mother sitting there resting before she went home. I will miss those talks we shared by the river, on the porch and in her home. You knew when you went to visit you were always welcomed. How I’m going to miss my sweet neighbour Mrs. Van de Walle. I’ve cherished the porch visits and chats for many years. She was an inspiration to me.
