Obituary of Sheila Norma Greason

It is with sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Sheila Norma Greason on Wednesday September 20th, 2023 at St. Marys Memorial Hospital.

Sheila was born in Stratford Ontario on July 31 st , 1942, to the late Norman and Hester Greason and grew up and lived on the family farm that she called home. She worked as a teacher for the Thames Valley District School Board having touched many lives throughout her career and always remembering each student with care. Sheila was always active in the St. Marys community and an ultimate volunteer who freely offered her time to many organizations and groups. Her philanthropic spirit will be missed by many groups and organizations including East Nissouri Union Church, St. Marys Community Living, Women’s Institute, McConnell Club of St. Marys, Order of the Eastern Star, and more. Sheila will also be remembered for the kind and compassionate care she provided to animals. She had a particular fondness for her beloved cats who provided much joy throughout her life.

Dearly loved sister of William Greason (the late Sandra), cherished Auntie Sheila of Tamera Greason (Michael Aloisio) and Ashleigh Scott (Denny), and great-aunt of Mary Jane. Sheila will forever be remembered by an extensive network of extended family and friends all who loved her dearly and were a cherished part of her life.

As per Sheila’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in the Community Hall at the St. Marys Pyramid Recreation Centre 317 James Street South, St. Marys Ontario on October 21st from 2-4 pm.
