My condolences to Audrey and all the family and friends..A great man and a gentleman of gentlemen. Rons was the go to guy at the hatchery for us younger lads who were smart enough to realize who was the Wizard in Oz. I used to enjoy walking in and seeing him at the Hatchery world conference table. For some reason he would always give me a huge grin. I loved getting him howling and wouldnt let up. I am sure he was convinced I was dropped a few times on my head at birth and a victim of coffee table edges. ALL OF US will never forget him and his contribution to the HHOA, the resources and the family at the hatchery. RIP RON...scout out the fishing spots for us...Rusty

About 9 years ago I was thrust into the role of Hatchery Manager when the long time .manager suddenly passed away. I was a newer volunteer and knew nothing a out aquaculture. Ron assured me that he would help me. He taught me almost everything I learned. Over the years he became not just a mentor but a good friend. I loved his dry humor. He was was a very special man. My. Condolences go out to Audrey and the entire family. I am proud to have known him.

Dear Audrey, Rhonda, Jim, Jeff and all the families.
I was sorry to hear about the passing of Ron. You have my deepest condolences and thoughts. Ron was pretty cool and great person. Once while a few of us was having a drink with Ron, having a high test concoction. He came out with the best line I ever heard. 'That stuff will make you take things back you never even stole'. Classic Ron.
All the best

Dear Audrey, Rhonda and Fred, Dan and Irene and the Sedley/Bearss family
I'm sorry to read the news of your loss. Although I did not know Ron personally, I see so very many familiar faces in the lovely picture video you have shared - in all the generations! The music and pictures were wonderful.
Lovely to see a life well-lived - as he chose, where he chose and how he chose to live it - clearly with the love of you Audrey, his big and growing family, and friends.
Condolences to all.

I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE MET RON IN THE SPRING OF 2015, WHEN I STARTED TO VOLUNTEER AT THE HALIBURTON FISH HATCHERY.
RON WAS THE LEADER OF THE WEDNESDAY CREW,
AND AFTER ONE OF HIS GUYS LEFT, RON ASKED ME TO JOIN HIS GROUP.
WITH HIS GUIDANCE, I LEARNED SO MUCH ABOUT RAISING AND CARING FOR TROUT OVER THE NEXT 5
YEARS.
RON WAS THE FIRST RECIPIENT OF OUR HATCHERY "VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR" AWARD IN 2016.
MY WIFE, BARBARA AND I, GOT TO KNOW AUDREY AS WELL, AND SHARED SOME MEALS TOGETHER.
RON AND I DID GET OUT FISHING A FEW TIMES, BOTH SUMMER AND WINTER, AND IT ALWAYS SEEMED TO BE WITHOUT SOME KIND OF DRAMA.
ONCE, AFTER A GREAT DAY OF ICE FISHING, 30KM NORTH OF HALIBURTON, MY TRUCK GOT STUCK IN A DRIVEWAY, MERE FEET FROM THE ROAD. FOUR
HOURS LATER THE TOW TRUCK ARRIVED AND WINCHED US OUT.
NEEDLESS TO SAY, A FEW GOOD STORIES WERE SHARED IN THAT TIME.
RON WAS A GOOD FRIEND, AND MENTOR.
HE WILL BE TRULY MISSED BY ALL OF US THAT HAD THE PLEASURE OF KNOWING HIM.
MY SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO AUDREY, THE EXTENDED SEDLEY FAMILY, AND ALL OF RON'S
FRIENDS.
REST IN PEACE RON.
